Hi! And a very warm welcome to the online home of Champion Childminding! First of all let me tell you about my setting..

I have a purpose built Child Minding Area, with exclusive separate bathroom and kitchen facilities for children in my care. In addition to this, I have a large enclosed garden where children can play and explore freely.

I am an OFSTED registered Childcare provider based in Bradford West Yorkshire (near to the Bradford Royal Infirmary). I have been graded as Outstanding on my last three consecutive OFSTED inspections, in July 2011, March 2016 and again in August 2022.

We Offer:

FREE Funded Places For All 3 & 4 Year Olds (15 Hours Per Week)

FREE Places For 2 Year Olds (Subject To Eligibility)

30 Hours FREE Childcare available for working parents

About Me

Hi! I’m Sumaira Tahir. I’m a mother of 3 with a passion for the care and education of children. I have over 20 years professional experience in caring for a broad age range of children, I work from home, and cater for children from 3 months to 8 years old.

My aim is to provide a safe, happy, relaxed and secure environment with stimulating and comfortable surroundings, so that children can flourish and grow in confidence. I aim to work to the highest possible standards to achieve success. I have built up an excellent reputation within our community, and provide a quality service to families and children who utilize my childcare services.

I provide a warm, caring and fun setting for the children in my care. Multicultural resources are available for children to raise awareness of inclusion issues and to promote anti-discriminatory practices. This helps children appreciate and value each others’ similarities and differences, and enables them to learn about our diverse cultural society.

MY QUALIFICATIONS

The EYFS

The EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) Framework:

sets the standards that all early year’s providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well
ensures children are kept healthy and safe
ensures that children have the knowledge and skills they need to start school

There are seven areas of learning and development that must shape educational programmes in early years settings. All areas of learning and development are important and inter-connected.

Three areas are particularly important for building a foundation for igniting children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, forming relationships, and thriving.

These are the prime areas:

• communication and language

• physical development

• personal, social, and emotional development

We also support children in four specific areas, through which the three prime areas are strengthened and applied.

The specific areas are:

• literacy

• mathematics

• understanding the world

• expressive arts and design
